LOS ANGELES, July 30 (UPI) -- Former "Friends" star Lisa Kudrow is negotiating with "Sex and the City" writer Michael Patrick King for her own sitcom on U.S. cable's HBO.

Kudrow, who won an Emmy for her role as Phoebe Buffay on the hit series that ended in May after 10 years, will star in one of several projects King has in the works for HBO, the cable network that also airs "Sex and the City," World Entertainment News Network reported Friday.

No other details about Kudrow's project were available.

Kudrow is already working behind the scenes in TV development at Warner Bros. TV.
