Michael Jackson denies quadruplets rumor

LOS ANGELES, July 21 (UPI) -- Embattled pop star Michael Jackson denies he fathered quadruplets with a surrogate mother, a story making the rounds in U.S. magazines.

"This is not true, and we are not going to comment on stories of this nature," Raymone Bain, Jackson's publicist, said in response to the baby rumors in Wednesday's USA Today.

The story started last week when the National Enquirer published a story saying Jackson, 45, had artificially inseminated an unidentified actress who wrote him a fan letter.

Us Weekly gave its own report Tuesday, adding Jackson recently spent time with the unidentified pregnant woman in Miami.

Neither celebrity publication has retracted its story.

"Jackson's camp has a history and track record of denying stories related to Mr. Jackson's personal matters that have later come out to be true," Us Weekly said in a statement.

Jackson, who has a son and daughter from a failed marriage, is awaiting trial on child molestation charges.
