Following the commercial success of that concert, performed with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and Tesh's own eight-piece band, the performer left his high-profile position as host of "Entertainment Tonight" to concentrate on music full-time.
"Nine years ago, in a driving rain storm, with my wife and 2-month-old daughter in the audience, my life changed forever at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre," said Tesh. "It was inspiring to be back with a new concert ... as these live concerts were a lifelong dream for me."
Tesh also hosts "The John Tesh Radio Show," a syndicated show with music and talk that focuses on family issues.
"Worship at Red Rocks" is scheuled for release on Aug. 24.
