CINCINNATI, July 16 (UPI) -- Peter Frampton, a new U.S. citizen who will vote for the first time in November, rocked an Ohio fundraiser for the Kerry-Edwards campaign.
Frampton performed at Thursday's $500 per ticket event hosted by Allan and Jennie Berliant's of East Walnut Hills, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported Friday.
The Berliants decided to host the fundraiser because they wanted to do more than put up a lawn sign, the newspaper said.
When Frampton, who lives in the Cincinnati suburb of Indian Hill, received the Berliants' letter, the British native enthusiastically accepted.
Frampton even changed lyrics to "Winds of Change" to show his political leanings at the event, the Enquirer said.
"Take him away/He's faking his way through/That's what he do/Faking it through," Frampton sang to the crowd.
