NEW YORK, July 13 (UPI) -- MTV reported on its Web site Tuesday troubled rocker Courtney Love did not suffer a miscarriage nor was she pregnant when admitted to a New York hospital.
Love was forcibly taken from her Big Apple apartment by police to Bellevue Hospital Friday, where she was placed under a 72 hour watch to see if she was a danger to herself or others, a source told MTV. She was released from Bellevue Monday night and immediately taken to another facility, the nature of which was not disclosed.
New York newspapers had reported Love telling police Friday that she had undergone an abortion and reports of a miscarriage were also widespread. But tests performed at Bellevue ruled out pregnancy, MTV said.
Meanwhile, a bench warrant issued by a Los Angeles judge Friday remained in effect. The warrant was issued after Love failed to appear for her arraignment on a felony assault charge.
She is due to be sentenced in Los Angeles Friday on a misdemeanor drug charge.
