KENTWOOD, La., July 12 (UPI) -- Britney Spear's husband for 55 hours has talked for the first time about the couple's whirlwind Las Vegas weekend that ended at the altar.

Jason Alexander, 22, Spears' childhood friend from their hometown of Kentwood, La., talked about the days of wild sex and romance that led up to Spears proposing to him and the subsequent fallout when the world learned of their quickie wedding, News of the World reported Monday.

"We made love in her bed, her shower and her bath. She asked me to marry her but when her lawyers demanded I end our marriage she didn't stop them -- and it caused chaos in my life," Alexander said.

"I didn't tell the world about this before because I still hoped we'd get back together. But I now realize she won't come back to me," he said.

Spears, 22, has moved on. Last week, she announced her engagement to dancer Keith Federline, 26, who left his pregnant girlfriend, actress Shar Jackson, to be with the pop diva.
