NEW YORK, July 10 (UPI) -- Courtney Love missed a day in court in Los Angeles because she was reportedly being treated in a New York hospital for a gynecological condition.
MTV.com reported Saturday the singer was taken from her New York apartment to Bellevue Hospital Friday afternoon by ambulance.
After receiving a 911 call from Love's home reporting a miscarriage, paramedics arrived at her New York City apartment about 5 p.m., MTV.com said.
Love's attorney told reporters the incident was "not a suicide attempt, not drug-related, not drug-overdose-related" but "a gynecological medical condition."
Michael Rosenstein had said in court earlier Friday Love failed to appear because of a mix-up, but that he planned to have her in Los Angeles to enter a plea by next Thursday. But the singer's medical condition and an outstanding bench warrant may change that.
After the 40-year-old singer failed to show up in a Los Angeles courtroom Friday for a hearing, a judge issued an arrest warrant and set a new bail of $150,000.
Love is charged with assaulting a woman with a liquor bottle and flashlight.
