LOS ANGELES, July 10 (UPI) -- Buena Vista is sponsoring Clay Aiken's debut 50-U.S. city summer tour in conjunction with its Oct. 5 special-edition release of "Aladdin" on DVD.

In the DVD release, Aiken sings "Proud of Your Boy," a song written by Academy Award winners Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, with the song originally slated for inclusion in the animated movie "Aladdin." But it was dropped from the movie after the story line changed.

Each of Aiken's concert dates that run to Oct. 18 will open with a video montage of Aiken singing "Proud of Your Boy," a song about a mother and son's relationship, and mentions the 2-Disc DVD set release in October.

DisneyHand, worldwide outreach for the Walt Disney Co. that owns Buena Vista Home Entertainment, will also contribute to Aiken's foundation, the Bubel/Aiken Foundation that seeks inclusion for those with disabilities.
