Drew Barrymore gets 'Fever'

LOS ANGELES, July 9 (UPI) -- Drew Barrymore is set to star in the upcoming romantic comedy "Fever Pitch," The Hollywood Reporter said Friday.

"Saturday Night Live" star Jimmy Fallon is reportedly in talks to join Barrymore in the adaptation of Nick Hornby's book about the deep importance of soccer in his life. The Reporter said Bobby and Peter Farrelly are in talks to direct the picture.

The Farrelly brothers are already set to direct "The Three Stooges" for Warner Bros. Pictures.

Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel ("Parenthood," "Night Shift") have adapted Hornby's book for American audiences, with the focus on baseball instead of soccer.

Hornby's "About a Boy" and "High Fidelity" have already been adapted for the U.S. screen.
