LITTLE HALLS POND CAY, Bahamas, July 8 (UPI) -- "Pirates Of The Caribbean" star Johnny Depp has become the latest celebrity to buy his own Caribbean hideaway, hellomagazine.com reported Wednesday.

Depp shelled out $3.6 million for Little Halls Pond Cay island in the Bahamas, about 60 miles south of Nassau.

Depp's little slice of paradise lies in the protected Exuma Land And Sea Park and is accessible only by seaplane, boat or helicopter.

Hello magazine's Web site noted it will make residence No. 3 for the Depp family, which includes his longtime partner Vanessa Paradis and their two children, Lily Rose and Jack.

Depp joins of the ranks of Brooke Shields, Tony Curtis, Richard Branson, the late Marlon Brando and Nicolas Cage among famous island owners.
