LOS ANGELES, July 7 (UPI) -- "The Bachelor's" Bob Guiney, who failed to make his U.S. reality show romance work, has wed "All My Children" actress Rebecca Budig, it was reported Wednesday.

Guiney and Budig married Saturday at Guiney's family vacation cottage on Long Lake, Mich., in what was described as a "surprise ceremony," E! Online said.

"They were married outdoors by the lake. It was low-key, just family and friends," said Budig's mother, Mary.

Approximately 50 guests attended the 20 minute ceremony, which featured vows written by the couple. A barbecue followed the wedding.

Guiney appeared on last fall's "The Bachelor," which ended with Guiney choosing, but not proposing to, Estella Gardiner.

Budig first met Guiney in January 2003 when the two taped a "Bachelor" recap show for ABC Family. They began dating last November and announced their engagement in May.

The marriage is the first for Budig, the second for Guiney.
