Audiotape may solve case Jackson case

LOS ANGELES, July 7 (UPI) -- An audiotape made by a private investigator working for defense attorney Mark Geragos may solve the Michael Jackson child-abuse case, says a report.

On the tape made around Feb. 20, 2003, Brad Miller interviews the 13-year-old boy who is now accusing Jackson of impropriety, Foxnews.com reported Wednesday.

The tape is the reason for all the closed-door arguments among lawyers in the case and for Judge Rodney Melville's sealing of evidence, the report said.

The tape was found in a police raid on Miller's office the same day police officers searched Neverland, Jackson's home, last November, the report said.

Lawyers for both Miller and Jackson claim Miller worked for Geragos and not for Jackson, making Miller part of the defense team. That means everything in his office was off-limits to prosecutors, Fox News said..

Foxnews said the search warrant against Miller, however, incorrectly stated he was Jackson's employee.

Miller interviewed family members about their relationships with Jackson. His questions included whether there had been any sexual misconduct. The answers reportedly were emphatically "no." the Fox report said.
