Stars line up for Democratic convention

WASHINGTON, June 30 (UPI) -- Ben Affleck and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline a gala fundraiser for the Creative Coalition at the Democratic National Convention in Boston.

The organization -- a non-profit, non-partisan association made up of arts and entertainment professionals -- said the all-star lineup for the show will also include Sean Astin, Bianca Jagger, William Baldwin, Ellen Burstyn, Alan Cumming, Alyssa Milano, Janeane Garofalo, Chris Cooper, Joe Pantoliano, Ron Reagan, Christina Ricci, Richard Schiff, Harvey Weinstein and Alfre Woodard.

The July 28 show, featuring a performance by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, is being co-sponsored by the Recording Industry Association of America. It's called "Seconding the First: A Celebration of the First Amendment."

The organizaiton has also scheduled a fundraiser in New York during the Republican National Convention at the end of August.
