LOS ANGELES, June 29 (UPI) -- Quentin Tarantino has filmed a scene in Robert Rodriguez's upcoming movie "Sin City" for $1, Daily Variety said Tuesday.

Rodriguez is co-directing the project with Frank Miller, who created the graphic novel on which it is based.

Variety said Tarantino charged Rodriguez just $1 to appear in a segment featuring Clive Owen, Benicio Del Toro and Brittany Murphy, in reciprocation for favor from Rodriguez -- who charged Taarantino the same amount to compose the score for "Kill Bill Vol. 2."

The cast of "Sin City" also includes Michael Clarke Duncan, Bruce Willis, Josh Hartnett, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba and Elijah Wood.
