LONDON, June 29 (UPI) -- Fans of Britain's Oasis may have a longer wait for new music because the tracks recorded during the past year have been ditched in favor of starting over.

Noel Gallagher told the crowd at Glastonbury Festival, where the band performed Friday, the sessions the band did with producers Death In Vegas would be thrown out, Britain's XFM reported Tuesday.

"We've got to decide what kind of record we're going to do now, because the record that we tried to make with Death In Vegas, that kind of didn't happen and the moment has passed for that batch of songs," Gallagher said.

"So it's back to the drawing board really. Hopefully, it will be out by the end of the year but I wouldn't have thought so," he said.

Oasis debuted two new songs at Glastonbury: "A Bell Will Ring" and "The Meaning Of Soul."
