LOS ANGELES, June 28 (UPI) -- Al Pacino will co-star with Matthew McConaughey in a drama about sports gambling, The Hollywood Reporter said Monday.

The paper said McConaughey is already set for "Two for the Money," and Pacino is still in talks for the project, which is scheduled to start shooting in August in Toronto. Rene Russo is also said to be in talks to join the cast.

McConaughey will play a college football player whose promising career is ended by a knee injury. He winds up working in the sports gambling industry, recruited by Pacino's character, who operates a top bookie business.

"Two for the Money" is being directed by D.J. Caruso, who most recently directed Angelina Jolie in "Taking Lives."
