Assassins was awarded the most Tony awards of any show at the 2004 Tony Awards, including the awards for Best Revival of a Musical and Best Direction of a Musical for director Joe Mantello. Michael Cerveris was also given an award for featured actor for his portrayal of John Wilkes Booth.

The musical follows the lives of nine real-life assassins who all at one time took aim at eight presidents, some successfully and some not.

This staging is the first Broadway production of this Sondheim classic.

The ensemble cast includes Broadway favorites Neil Patrick Harris, Mario Cantone, Becky Ann Baker and many more.

Assassins is playing at the Roundabout Theatre Company's Studio 54 on Broadway.
