Debbie Harry wants no other blondes

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, June 7 (UPI) -- Blondie's lead singer, Debbie Harry, reportedly pushed her opening act into the headlining spot in Amsterdam because she has blonde hair.

Harry insisted M.A.S.S. perform after her band at last week's concert, because Harry -- who bleaches her hair -- was angry M.A.S.S. vocalist Justine Berry also was fair-haired, Rolling Stone said on its Web site.

There was a catch, however. The manager for M.A.S.S. told Rolling Stone that Blondie's management apparently did not realize Berry was a natural blonde.

When Berry appeared, Harry was fuming, Rolling Stone said. The new wave veteran's contract limits the number of blondes on her show to one --Harry, herself.
