LOS ANGELES, June 3 (UPI) -- Lindsay Lohan is in talks to star in the movie adaptation of the office-politics revenge novel "Fashionistas," The Hollywood Reporter said Thursday.

The star of "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" would play a young associate editor at a glossy magazine who leads a revolt against her tyrannical editor-in-chief.

The Reporter said first-time novelist Lynn Messina's book is being adapted by the writing team of Stan Zimemrman and James Berg -- whose credits include "A Very Brady Sequel" and several episodes of "Roseanne" and "Golden Girls."
