LOS ANGELES, June 2 (UPI) -- DreamWorks has postponed press screenings for the new Steven Spielberg-Tom Hanks movie "The Terminal," Daily Variety said Wednesday.
The paper reported the movie was being held up because Spielberg was doing some last-minute tweaking and John Williams' score was delayed due to his work on the upcoming Wanrer Bros. release "Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban."
"The Terminal" features Hanks as a traveler stranded at New York's JFK Airport with a worthless passport after his Eastern European homeland destroys itself through warfare.
DreamWorks notified entertainment reporters on Tuesday that it was postponing Friday's scheduled premiere until June 9. Screenings and a press junket for the movie have also been delayed, but "The Terminal" is still scheduled for a June 18 release.
Variety reported Spielberg was reshooting some scenes Tuesday, and DreamWorks' marketing department wasn't sure whether to position the movie as a comedy or drama. DreamWorks officials told Variety the movie has received high scores from test audiences.
