NEW YORK, May 28 (UPI) -- "The Bachelor's" Bob Guiney, who gained a fiancee on the reality show's fourth season, has again popped the question, to "All My Children's" Rebecca Budig.

Guiney, whose TV-induced engagement to Estella Gardinier was short-lived, has given Budig a 2-carat diamond ring, E! Online reported Friday.

Guiney and Budig began dating five months ago, but the reality TV star said he knew he wanted to marry the actress after she gave him a surprise birthday party earlier in May.

The ring, which Guiney designed with a jeweler friend, "was burning a hole in my pocket for a week," Guiney said, as he waited for the right moment to propose.

"She happened to need an accessory for the (Daytime) Emmys the next day, and I happened to have the perfect accessory," he said, referring to the May 21 event.

Guiney and Budig met in January 2003, while taping a segment for "Bachelor XYZ," an ABC Family highlights show. The couple began dating before Guiney's pre-taped "Bachelor" series even hit the airwaves.
