LOS ANGELES, May 14 (UPI) -- Lenny Kravitz has two rules for first dates: no smelly aftershave and no underwear, the U.S. singer told German Playboy magazine.
"The most important thing is never to wear underwear and under no circumstance should you use aftershave," Kravitz said, the magazine reported Friday.
The 40-year-old singer, who recently broke up with actress Nicole Kidman, said he found aftershave disgusting and said men who stunk of it were "suspect.
"It's better to use oil," he said.
The singer did not elaborate on why he doesn't wear underwear on first dates.
Kravitz also said he plans to live a simpler life in the future.
"It's much too easy to be complicated and capricious," he said.
