LOS ANGELES, May 6 (UPI) -- Legendary U.S. newsman Walter Cronkite will offer analysis on various political issues for an upcoming MTV special, Zap2it.com reported Thursday.

Cronkite is scheduled to appear on "Choose or Lose: Work It," a program addressing issues that affect employment for young adults.

It is set to air May 25.

"When I speak at colleges and universities across the country, I always am impressed and challenged by my conversations with young adults. That's why I am so pleased to be a part of this special," the 87-year-old Cronkite said. "Over the years, MTV has made a commitment to the political process, and this special further solidifies their strong connection to the issues facing the young adult audience."
