LOS ANGELES, May 5 (UPI) -- Susanna Hoffs Roach, former lead singer of the 1980s pop group The Bangles, has sold a script called "Exorcism for Dummies" to a Hollywood film studio.
Roach penned the screenplay with two other first-time scribes, Brian Stampnitsky and Charley Stickney, and sold it to Revolution Studios, Empire magazine reported on its Web site Wednesday.
The story is an off-beat comedy about a slacker who poses as an exorcist, but makes the startling discovery he actually has a knack for casting out demons.
The magazine said the project is still too early in the development process to have signed a director or cast.
Roach is married to "Austin Powers" and "Meet the Fockers" director Jay Roach, but there is no suggestion so far he might helm the film.
