ATLANTA, May 4 (UPI) -- Singer Whitney Houston says her drug addiction is behind her now that she has completed a stint in a Georgia rehab center.

"I now feel whole. I am finally fully myself again and feel stronger than ever," Houston said about her March stay in the rehabilitation program, World Entertainment News Network reported Tuesday. "I decided to get rid of everything surplus in my life."

The year has been a tough one for Houston and her husband, Bobby Brown. Brown spent time in jail after Houston accused him of domestic abuse. Brown also was in jeopardy of serving more time for failing to pay child support for two children he had with another woman, but ponied up the thousands of overdue dollars to clear that charge.
