Actor Tom Sizemore in probation trouble

LOS ANGELES, May 4 (UPI) -- Actor Tom Sizemore has been charged with probation violation in Los Angeles for allegedly testing positive for methamphetamine.

The TV and film actor, who has maintained a steady stream of legal problems for the past year, was scheduled back in court Monday for the latest matter, E! Online reported Tuesday.

Sizemore's attorney has said his client is innocent, blaming the positive drug test on a prescription drug that could cause a false positive and not violate the actor's probation.

Sizemore also is under investigation for allegedly trying to convince a doctor to lie for him and possibly submitting a bogus doctor's letter to the court.

Sizemore was found guilty last August on seven counts of domestic abuses, including criminal threats, vandalism and making obscene and harassing phone calls to ex-girlfriend, former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.

Last week, Fleiss filed a new round of charges against Sizemore for "severe emotional distress" and property lost during their relationship.

Sizemore, who stars with Rob Lowe in the new CBS drama "Dr. Vegas," completed a live-in rehab program last fall for his initial set of domestic crimes.
