'Princesses' coming to B'way in 2005

NEW YORK, May 3 (UPI) -- A new musical about private school girls staging a version of the Victorian novel "A Little Princess" is heading to Broadway, Playbill On-line said Monday.

Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley, the producers of the contemporary musical comedy, are aiming for a July 2005 opening.

"Princesses" is a new musical inspired by the classic children's book by Frances Hodgson Burnett and written by librettists Bill and Cheri Steinkellner, composer Matthew Wilder and lyricist David Zippel, who conceived the idea and directs.
