Clear Channel gives The Donald radio show

NEW YORK, April 29 (UPI) -- The largest U.S. broadcaster has given Donald Trump his own national radio show titled "Trumped!," set to air from the business tycoon's New York offices.

Premiere Radio Networks, Clear Channel's syndication arm, will launch the show June 15, with Trump discussing business and non-business topics, such as the media and entertainment world and politics, Thursday's Hollywood Reporter said.

"The public's appetite for Donald Trump's sharp, sage commentary has never been bigger," said John Hogan, Clear Channel Radio president and chief executive officer.

Trump's popularity has increased during the past year with the success of his top-rated NBC reality show "The Apprentice," a contest that ended with the winner getting a top position at a Trump company.

NBC, which aired the first season's finale last week, already has signed Trump to two more seasons of the show.

Premiere Radio Networks syndicates shows hosted by Rush Limbaugh, Casey Kasem, Carson Daly and Laura Schlessinger, reaching more than 180 million listeners weekly.
