LOS ANGELES, April 24 (UPI) -- Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, who got caught lying on NBC's "The Apprentice" walked off the set of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" based in Los Angeles.
She left the show Thursday, about 22 minutes into the live telecast, because a lie detector had been set-up on stage for a comedy sketch, according to Kimmel.
The lie detector has been part of a running gag between Kimmel and his Uncle Frank that the host had been running during the week, the New York Post reported Saturday.
"All we saw of her was a puff of smoke, like what the 'Road Runner' leaves behind," Kimmel told the Post.
Kimmel said the former employee of the Clinton administration in Washington appeared at the studio with her mother and a publicist and demanded that the lie detector be removed from the stage.
However, producers assured Manigault-Stallworth that the machine wasn't meant for her and was part of a comedy sketch planned for later in the show.
"She calmed down for about a minute after that," Kimmel said. However, once the show began she left.
