NEW YORK, April 23 (UPI) -- Rockers Alanis Morissette and Barenaked Ladies have teamed up to co-headline a U.S. summer tour, Billboard reported Friday.
The artists will alternate the closing spot on the 22-date "Au Naturale" tour, beginning July 13 in Cleveland.
"I've loved these crazy gentlemen for years, and it will be a true honor traveling around America making some joyful noise with them," Morissette said. "I look forward to being with a group of people who will not snicker to themselves when I say the word 'about' or 'eh.'"
"As musicians we've had great admiration for Alanis," Steven Page, Barenaked Ladies singer/guitarist, said. "She's not afraid to speak her mind, and neither are we, so fans should expect a terrific balance of poignant fun during the course of the evening."
Morissette will tour in support of her upcoming album, "So Called Chaos," set for a May 18 on Maverick Records.
Barenaked Ladies recently ended a North American tour in support of the band's latest Reprise release, "Everything to Everyone." A short tour of Britain and Ireland is set to begin Tuesday in Bristol, England.
