LOS ANGELES, April 8 (UPI) -- Rock star Jon Bon Jovi has signed on to star in the upcoming Hollywood comedy, "National Lampoon's The Trouble With Frank."
Bon Jovi will play a former attorney who lands in court after using credit cards to fund a get-rich-quick scheme, Daily Variety reported Thursday.

Lampoon's founder Matty Simmons wrote the script and will produce the film, the trade paper noted.
Simmons sold National Lampoon in 1998, but returned to the company in 2002 as a producer.
Bon Jovi's film credits include "Young Guns II," "Homegrown" and "Pay It Forward" and he also had a role on the television series "Ally McBeal.
