LONDON, March 31 (UPI) -- Glastonbury music festival's organizer says he expects Justin Hawkins of The Darkness to apologize for berating him for not booking the band.
"We've had a few bands that when they don't get booked, they get upset -- and they always apologize," said Michael Eavis, telling the BBC he did not book the band because they appeared at the festival in 2003.
"I'm expecting an apology as soon as he feels in a better mood," Eavis said.
Hawkins claims Eavis didn't book his band because he thought the glam metal band was just a flash in the pan.
"Michael Eavis is just annoyed that he missed the boat," Hawkins said.
The Darkness has been scheduled to headline Carling, Reading and Leeds festivals in August with The White Stripes and Green Day.
Paul McCartney, Oasis and Muse will headline Glastonbury, set for June 25 to 27 at Worthy Farm in Somerset.
