GREENSBORO, N.C., March 26 (UPI) -- U.S. singer Sammy Hagar will reunite with Van Halen for the first time in eight years when the rock band goes on tour this summer.
The group's official Web site www.van-halen.com features the greeting, "Eddie, Alex, Mike & Sammy Hit the Road," as well as a new photo of the foursome, Billboard.com reported Friday.
The band will play North American arenas beginning June 11 in Greensboro, N.C. and ending Aug. 19 in Los Angeles.
Guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen and bassist Michael Anthony have not toured since 1998 and have not had a record deal since splitting from long-time label Warner Brothers in 2002.
The group is believed to be considering the release of a greatest hits album with a handful of new songs featuring Hagar, but no information has yet been confirmed, Billboard.com reported.
