Harris and Harrelson will head up an ensemble cast for the firefighting movie with negotiations under way to sign Billy Crudup to the Warner Brothers Pictures' film, Wednesday's Hollywood Reporter said.
The script for "3000 Degrees" is based on the book of the same name, which developed from Flynn's July 2000 Esquire article detailing the fire that turned a century-old storage building into a cinderbox.
Harris, a four-time Oscar nominee, can next be seen in HBO's "Winter Passing" and "Empire Falls." Harrelson just completed filming "After the Sunset" and appeared in "Anger Management." Crudup was in last year's "Big Fish" and also has starred in "Almost Famous," "Waking the Dead" and "Without Limits."
