LOS ANGELES, March 23 (UPI) -- Pierce Brosnan said Hollywood producers have not contacted him to play James Bond in the next 007 film even though filming is set to begin soon.

"They know where to find me if they want me," Brosnan told Britain's Mirror. "I'd love to do another but, if not, I won't be out of work."

Brosnan, who lives in Malibu, Calif., with his wife and two young sons, said he was asked to do the next Bond film upon finishing the last one, "Die Another Day."

"But I think now there is a sense of paralysis and they're not quite sure how to proceed," Brosnan, 50, said.

Rumors of bringing in a younger actor, such as Jude Law, Hugh Jackman or Orlando Bloom, to portray Bond in the next film, due out autumn 2005, have been circulating in recent months.

Brosnan, who starred in four Bond films, currently is appearing in "Laws of Attraction" with Julianne Moore.
