First presented off Broadway by the MTC in 1992, "Sight Unseen" won the Obie Award for Best New American Play, was nominated for a Drama Desk Award and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.

The play tells the story of Jonathan Waxman, played by HBO's "Angels in America" star Ben Shenkman, a celebrated artist who, despite immense popularity, yearns for something more in his life. His soul-searching leads him to Patricia, played by Linney, the former girlfriend he selfishly dismissed a decade before.

Linney portrayed Grete, a German television interviewer, in the 1992 production. In the new version, Grete will be played by Ana Reeder, while Patricia's new lover will be portrayed by Byron Jennings.
