Nude Terry Jones painting to be unveiled

LONDON, March 19 (UPI) -- A nude painting of "Monty Python" comedian Terry Jones is one of several works to be displayed at London's Royal Society of Portrait Painters exhibition.

Heidi Harrington's artistic rendering of the funnyman will be shown alongside paintings of Olympic rower Matthew Pinsent, astronomer Sir Patrick Moore, chef Albert Roux and former Conservative Cabinet minister David Mellor, the BBC reported Friday.

The exhibition will run from April 29 through May 16 at London's Mall Galleries.

The new de Laszlo Foundation Award of $5,500 will be presented to a promising young portrait painter as the exhibition opens.
