HOLLYWOOD, March 9 (UPI) -- Actor Esai Morales is reportedly outraged because his sex scene on "NYPD Blue" was darkened so the act couldn't be seen by U.S. TV viewers.
In an interview with Jason Sechrest's porn Web site, Morales said he was upset by the ABC network's decision to shield its viewers from the sex scene he had filmed with his co-star Jacqueline Obradors, the New York Daily News reported Tuesday.
"You can show a man getting his head blown off on TV, but you can't show a man getting (oral sex,)" Morales said. "It's so sad, that, instead of building our infrastructure, instead of figuring out how to get more books into kids' minds, or teaching children how to learn for themselves, we're having fights about Janet Jackson's breasts."
The backlash against Jackson's Feb. 1 Super Bowl exposure has prompted several networks to cut or blur potentially offensive images.
