LOS ANGELES, March 5 (UPI) -- Sarah Michelle Gellar said she may reprise her U.S. TV role as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" for the final episode of "Angel" this spring.

"If everything falls into place and it feels like the right thing at the time for the right people," Gellar said she would consider a guest starring role on the "Buffy" spin-off series, the New York Post reported Friday.

"I go back and forth on the idea, especially because 'Angel' had such a hard time, in my opinion, always getting out from 'Buffy's' shadow," Gellar said. "And I would hate for it to go out being about Buffy. It'll all depend on if I'm home in time and what the ideas are."

Gellar had been asked to appear on an earlier episode of "Angel," which is in its fifth season, but had to pass due to a death in her family and her hectic schedule.
