BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, March 4 (UPI) -- British model Jodie Kidd was shot at, but uninjured, after chasing an intruder who broke into her family's Barbados home.
Kidd, 25, and her boyfriend chased the perpetrator after awaking to find the intruder standing over them in their bedroom, Britain's Daily Telegraph reported Thursday. During the chase, the prowler turned and fired on the couple.
Kidd was staying at her family's mansion, Holders House, outside of Bridgetown on the British West Indies island, when the incident occurred early Monday morning.
Bridgetown police would only confirm the intrusion and would not provide further details.
"There was an incident at Holders House in the early hours of March 1 with an intruder who was disturbed by residents. Nothing was taken from the house," the police spokesman said.
