LOS ANGELES, March 4 (UPI) -- New episodes of the hit animated series "Family Guy" are expected to air on U.S. television in 2005, E! Online reports.

The show's creator, Seth MacFarlane, said the darkly comic "Family Guy" will be back on the air next year, but admitted where and when the series will be broadcast is still up in the air.

MacFarlane told IGN.com he plans to begin production on new episodes next month, but is unsure whether they will first air on Fox, which originally broadcast the series from 1999-2002, or the Cartoon Network, which has aired the show in repeats since last April.
