LOS ANGELES, March 2 (UPI) -- "America's Worst Driver," a spin off of Britain's popular "Worst Driver" TV series, is in production as a one-hour U.S. television special.

The show features contestants, all with notorious driving skills, who compete for prizes by improving their driving through zany tests, Tuesday's Hollywood Reporter said.

Charles Thompson from British producer Mentorn, the company behind the original show, and Hollywood TV producer Scott Messick are set to produce the special, which will serve as a backdoor pilot.
