LONDON, March 2 (UPI) -- British supermodel Kate Moss is reportedly taking acting lessons from Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow, in anticipation of retiring from modeling.

"Kate has wanted to get into acting for years but has taken it one step further by asking Gwyneth to coach her," one of Moss' friends told The Sun Tuesday.

"There's no way she is giving up modeling yet," the friend said about Moss, 30. "She's still at the top of her game and looks great. But she knows that one day she'll be overtaken by younger girls and she wants to have another option."

Moss reportedly has taken three one-hour lessons with Paltrow at Moss' London home.

Moss already has fielded several movie offers, including recently turning down a role in Stephen Fry's "Bright Young Things."

"If the right film comes along she'll do it while she is still modeling," the friend said.
