Casting in high gear for ABC, WB pilots

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- "Windtalkers" star Adam Beach and "8 Simple Rules'" Brian Sites are the latest new hires as Hollywood casting switches into high gear for TV pilots.

Beach will play a sharpshooter in ABC's "Countdown," a drama about a SWAT team by "Boomtown" creator Graham Yost and Sites will join the cast of the WB's pilot "Marriage 101" about a young married couple that lives with single friends, Zap2it.com reported Thursday.

Other casting decisions include Reg Rogers ("Analyze That," "Igby Goes Down") and Rick Worthy ("Star Trek: Enterprise") joining Tim Daly and Natalie Zea in the cast of ABC's "Eyes," a drama about a risk-management firm.

Conchata Ferrell ("L.A. Law," "Push, Nevada") has become a regular on CBS' comedy "Two and a Half Men," in which she plays Charlie Sheen's housekeeper.

Kathleen Rose Perkins has joined the CBS comedy "The Amazing Westerbergs," as a best friend to two brothers (Chris O'Donnell and Jay Harrington).

An ABC miniseries based on Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Little House" books has signed Cameron Bancroft ("Beverly Hills, 90210," "Crooked E") to play Charles Ingalls, Kyle Chavarria will play Laura and Danielle Ryan Chuchran ("The Cat in the Hat") will play Mary. Erin Cottrell ("The Guiding Light") was previously cast as mother Caroline.
