LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Despite reported plans for a movie version of "Sex and the City," stars of the HBO comedy said in Los Angeles they know nothing about the project.

Kim Catrall -- who played Samantha Jones on the hit show -- was asked backstage Sunday at the Screen Actors Guild Awards if producers had contacted her about a movie.

"No," she said. "It's been in the press, but right now we're just ending the show and that's where we are."

The Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning show ended its six-year run Sunday night. Cynthia Nixon, who played Miranda Hobbes, said the cast was glad to win the SAG Award, but disappointed that they had to miss the series finale, which ran opposite the SAG Awards telecast.

"There is a part of us that would like to be in front of a television right now," she said.

Kristin Davis, who played Charlotte York, said if there is a "Sex and the City" movie, it would have to involve all four of the series' stars -- including Sarah Jessica Parker, who did not attend the SAG Awards.

"I don't think there'd be anything without all four of us," said Davis.
