LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Actor Gary Sinise has kicked off his fifth USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour with stops in Diego Garcia, Singapore and Korea, Zap2it reports.

The tour began Monday and will continue through Feb. 27.

Best-known for his Oscar-nominated performance as Lt. Dan in "Forrest Gump," but seen most recently in "The Big Bounce," Sinise will meet with the troops, sign autographs, pose for photographs and visit a variety of job posts, the entertainment Web site reported.

The Chicago native is also bringing along the Lt. Dan Band to perform oldies and rock and roll.

Last year, Sinise participated in USO/AFE tours to Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Germany, Italy and Fort Stewart, Ga.
