HOLLYWOOD, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Shirley Jones will return to Broadway after a 37-year absence to co-star with her son in the musical "42nd Street," Daily Variety reported Wednesday.
Jones and Patrick Cassidy are set to begin their four-month run in the show in early April.
Jones will play Dorothy Brock while Cassidy will portray Julian March.
This marks Jones' first appearance on Broadway since 1967, when she appeared with then-husband Jack Cassidy in "Maggie Flynn." She also had a single line in "South Pacific" in 1952, the trade paper noted.
Last year, Cassidy starred in the musical "Aida" on Broadway and in the production's touring company. He also co-starred with Cheryl Ladd in the recent Broadway revival of "Annie Get Your Gun."
