Eminem interested in buying Neverland

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Detroit-based rapper Eminem has said he is interested in buying Neverland, Michael Jackson's infamous estate in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Eminem has told friends that he does not want to spend another tough winter in Detroit and is considering a move to Jackson's home in southern California, the Salt Lake City (Utah) Tribune reported Monday.

Eminem also said he thinks California would be a good place to raise his young daughter, Hailie.

Jackson moved out of his 2,600-acre Neverland estate after police searched it last November looking for evidence in the child molestation case against him.

The estate reportedly is worth $49 million.
