Stars line up to perform at Oscars

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Sting, Alison Krauss, Elvis Costello and T Bone Burnett will perform at the 76th Academy Awards, telecast producer Joe Roth announced Friday.

Sting is nominated in the Original Song category for "You Will Be My Ain True Love" from "Cold Mountain." He will perform the song with Alison Krauss, who did the song with him in the film.

Krauss also will perform "The Scarlet Tide" from "Cold Mountain" accompanied by Costello and Burnett, who are nominated for writing the song.

This is the first Oscar nomination and appearance for Costello and Burnett. Krauss, who sang "The Scarlet Tide" in the film, will be making her first Oscar show performance.

This is Sting's third Original Song nomination and the third time he has performed at the Academy Awards.

The Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2003 will be presented on Feb. 29.
