Feb. 13, 2004 at 1:44 PM

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Martin Scorsese is in negotiations with Warner Brothers to make a crime drama set in Hong Kong, Daily Variety reported Friday.

The trade paper noted Brad Pitt is considering a starring role in "Infernal Affairs," a film based on a trilogy of Chinese-language gangster vs. cop films of the same name.

Pitt's wife, Jennifer Aniston, and his production company, Plan B, are set to co-produce the film with Scorsese and Brad Grey.

Pitt will next be seen in the epic "Troy," while Scorsese has just finished filming the Howard Hughes bio-picture "The Aviator" with his "Gangs of New York" star Leonardo DiCaprio.
